This year it has been too much work on the boat. After about a month work finally it is in the water and almost ready to sail to the North of Greece (Sporades and Greece coast), Bosforo, Istanbul and maybe Black Sea. Some photos (after so much work I had to post them LOL):
Alma is a beauty, all the more so when you can see her undersides.
ReplyDeleteAlma is my grandmothers name. But I still think the Comet is beautiful.
LOL. Alma in Portuguese means Soul ;-).
DeleteNice boat Paulo, I've read all your post, congrats for this amazing job.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your boat, can you post more bowsprit photos.
I cant see any bobstay, do you have it?
Hi!, I will send you the links to some photos. The bowsprit is very strong made of a thick inox tube with a simple but efficient fixation. For Gennaker (that is what I have) a bobstay is not needed. For a code 0 it will be needed and it will not be dificult to mount one if I decide to have one.

It is strong but not particularly nice. The newer Comet 41s (my boat) have already an integrated one with anchor stand:
